Bailey Kernodle joined the Davidson Volleyball staff in July 2017 and will assist in multiple areas of the Wildcats' program. 

Kernodle arrives at Davidson after spending the last year and a half in London, England, where she played for the University of East London and was named the 2016-17 Scholar Athlete of the Year as the squad finished third at the United Kingdom National Championship. She also served as a coach for three separate teams for two clubs in London. 

Kernodle hails from Fort Mill, South Carolina, earning all-region and all-state accolades and helped lead Nation Ford High School to a state title in 2010. Kernodle played collegiately at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., where as an outside hitter she led the Bulldogs with 266 kills during her junior campaign and played in 130 sets as a senior, the second-most in program history. She exited The Citadel ranked ninth in school history in career kills, 11th in career kills/set, and 15th in career digs. While also managing life as a student-athlete with the military life style, Kernodle served as a marketing intern for the school's athletic department for both basketball and baseball and served as a high school coach for the College of Charleston's summer camps for four summers.

In addition to CofC, Kernodle also served as a coach and prep teams director for the Palmetto Strikers Volleyball club, a role she still holds currently. Prior to Charleston, Kernodle played with the Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club and spent time as a coach. 

Kernodle is expected to graduate with her Masters' from the University of East London in September.
