Shelby Martin joined the Davidson athletic training staff in August 2021 after a year and a half as a clinic athletic trainer with OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina.
She works with the Davidson women’s soccer, cross country, and track and field teams.
Prior to her time at OrthoCarolina, Martin was an Associate Head Athletic Trainer at St. Andrews University, where she worked with football, men’s lacrosse, men’s volleyball, and cheer and dance teams.
Martin received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Wingate University in 2015 and a Master of Science with a concentration in exercise physiology from Kent State University in 2017. Martin is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education through Liberty University.
Martin resides in Davidson with her husband, Davidson Football OC Vince Munch.
