Davidson women's lacrosse head coach Kim Wayne announced the addition of former Richmond Spider and Clemson Tiger Marina Miller to her staff as an assistant coach in June of 2024.

Miller joins the Wildcats after serving as an assistant coach for the Tigers during the 2024 season, where she coordinated the defensive unit and assisted in draw strategy.

"I am thrilled to join Kim, Amy and the Davidson lacrosse program," Miller said. "Coming back to the Atlantic 10 Conference as a coach is special, and I can't wait to meet the girls and get to work in this incredible program and environment."

As a player, Miller began her career at Penn State University before competing for three seasons for the Richmond Spiders, serving as a team captain in 2022. From there, she joined former Spiders head coach Allison Kwolek at Clemson for the Tigers' 2023 inaugural season.

A captain at Clemson, Miller closed out her career starting all 18 games, scoring 23 goals to go with 11 assists. She also won 33 draw controls and was selected for the 2023 Senior All-Star Team and the South's All-Region Second Team.

"We are thrilled to have Marina join our staff," Wayne noted. "She comes to Davidson with a strong background in the Atlantic 10 Conference, having been a solid contributor in the midfield for Richmond from 2020-22. Marina also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having played a fifth year in 2023 at Clemson before coaching for the Tigers in 2024. I have a ton of respect for Coach Allison Kwolek at Clemson and the way she leads their program, and I know Marina will take what she learned over the years and pass it along to our team. Marina is mature, energetic and eager to push our team while helping them believe they are capable of winning an A-10 title."

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., Miller went to Pine-Richland High School where she was a four-year letter winner, two-time team captain, led her lacrosse team to back-to-back Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic League (WPIAL) titles and ended her high school career as Pine-Richland's all-time leading scorer with 325 goals and 94 assists.
