2013: Saw action in 11 contests, including seven starts… Recorded one assist… Helped a Davidson defense the three shutouts.
2012: Appeared in all 18 contests (14 starts), recording a pair of goals and one assist… Put the Wildcats up 2-0 with his first career goal in the 62nd minute at Ohio State… Netted the game-winning goal in the 89th minute to lift Davidson over Georgia Southern… Also set up the eventual difference maker in the first game of the adidas Classic.
Prior to Davidson: With the Columbus Crew U19 and U20 teams during the 2012 summer...Ranked No. 145 nationally in the 2011 recruiting class by College Soccer News… senior tri-captain of NSCAA and ESPN Rise National Champion St. Ignatius High School team… squad claimed the Ohio state championship twice and finished as the runner-up once during his three years on the team… named an NSCAA All-America Scholar and OHSAA Academic All-Ohio senior year… OHSAA All-Ohio second team junior and senior year… club team, Internationals Academy was ranked fifth in the nation in 2010 and won the Great Lakes Conference Championship… named to the All-Great Lakes team… earned First-Honors all semesters in high school.
Personal: Spending the 2014 Spring Semester in London as part of the NYU study abroad program... Son of Dr. Ed and Janie Blades… has three siblings Gavin (24), Mark (23) and Jackie (21) … brother, Gavin, played soccer at Yale … brother, Mark, was a two-time NSCAA All-American and four-year starter on the soccer team at Northwestern… sister, Jackie, played soccer for at Northwestern … majoring in math at Davidson ... with Columbus Crew U19 and U20 teams during the 2012 summer.
