2011: Named second-team All-PFL • Named first-team All-America by BeyondSportsNetwork.com • Ranked eighth in the country in receiving yards (100.6/gm) and third in receptions (9.1/gm) and led the PFL in both categories • Ranked seventh in the PFL in all-purpose yards (100.6/gm) • Set a school record with 100 receptions and became the first Davidson receiver with over 1,000 yards since 1972 • Started all 11 games he played in • Topped 100 receiving yards in four games • Caught seven passes for 195 yards and two TDs against Johnson C. Smith; set a school record with a 99-yard TD catch • Logged 13 receptions for 175 yards and two scores vs. Valpo • Caught eight balls for 102 yards at Georgetown • Had 13 receptions for 102 yards at Butler • Had 85 receiving yards and a score against both Lenoir-Rhyne and Jacksonville • Caught nine passes for 86 yards and two TDs vs. Morehead State • Named to PFL Academic Honor Roll.
 
2010: Named second-team All-PFL • Named to PFL Academic Honor Roll • Ranked fifth in the PFL in receptions and receiving yards • Started all 10 games he played in • Missed the season finale at Presbyterian because of an injury • Caught 47 passes for 685 yards and six touchdowns • Averaged 68.5 receiving yards a contest • Caught a game-winning, 71-yard TD pass at Morehead State • Had seven receptions for 175 yards and two scores in that game and subsequently earned FCS National Wide Receiver of the Week honors from the College Football Performance Awards • Caught 10 passes for 102 yards at Drake • Had six receptions for 118 yards and a score vs. San Diego.

2009: Played in the final six games of the season • Had three receptions for 27 yards at Dayton • Also caught a pass at San Diego.

Prep Years: Lettered for coach Ned Gonet at Raleigh Ravenscroft • Named all-state and all-conference as a senior • Participated in the 2008 Oasis All-Star Classic Game • Honor Roll, National Merit Commended Student, Spanish Honor Society.

Personal: Born July 16, 1991 • The son of Landon and Martha Funsten • Has two younger sisters, Melissa (joining the Davidson field hockey team as a freshman this season) and Jennifer • Uncle, Kevin Brown ran track at Dennison • Grandfather, Keith Brown ran track at Wisconsin.
