WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Davidson dropped its second match of the Wake Forest Invitational on Saturday afternoon against Georgetown.

The Wildcats and Hoyas played a tight opening set. Neither team had a lead larger than four points. Davidson led 10-6 and then Georgetown recorded five straight points. The Hoyas took the first set 28-26.

Davidson led 22-21 in the second set. Georgetown won the next four points and took the frame.

After trailing 1-0 in the third set, the Hoyas did not get behind in the rest of the frame.

Georgetown finished the match with a .361 team hitting percentage. Davidson had a .179 team hitting percentage.

Davidson's Meile Songaila posted a match-high 16 kills with a .353 hitting percentage.

Kinsey Smith led the way for the 'Cats with 28 assists.
