'Cats Conclude Wake Forest Invitational, Fall To UCF on Sunday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Despite a straight-set loss to UCF on Sunday, Ellie Ocampo sparked the offense with nine kills and a .615 hitting percentage. Davidson concludes the Wake Forest Invitational with one win and two defeats.
In the opening set, the Wildcats trailed 19-18. UCF won six of the next seven points and claimed the set 25-19.
Elena Garcia-Guerrios led Davidson with five kills in the second set, but the Knights ultimately pushed past the Wildcats 25-17.
The 'Cats struggled to find any momentum in the third set. UCF's Natasha Casey recorded six kills on seven swing and lifted the Knights to a 25-15 victory in set three.

Davidson returns to action on Friday, September 11 with a match at Elon University. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. ET in Elon, N.C.
