2/19/2026 3:18:00 PM | Wrestling
DAVIDSON, N.C. – In search of a program-record for Southern Conference regular season wins, the Davidson wrestling team hosts Campbell for a 7 p.m. "Senior Night" dual Friday inside John M. Belk Arena.
Prior to the match, Davidson will honor its 2026 Senior Class – Christian Rutherford, Luke Passarelli, Marc Koch and Tanner Peake – at 6:45 p.m.
In addition, a supporter of the wrestling program is picking up the beer tab for Davidson students 21+ with a valid Davidson ID and State ID.
Davidson, which enters 3-4 in the SoCon standings, is one league win away from the most in school history. The 2025-26 campaign marks the third time (2020-21, 2021-22) the Wildcats have won three conference duals in a season.
In their last match, the Wildcats dropped a 20-14 decision at The Citadel, one of the league's preseason favorites. Despite the setback, Davidson recorded three wins over nationally-ranked opponents.
Anderson Heap, who was named SoCon Wrestler of the Week Wednesday, picked up a sudden victory (5-2) over No. 28 Carson DesRosier to improve to 7-0 in SoCon action. In addition to his fourth win over a ranked foe this season it was his second in as many matches. As a result, Heap climbed into the rankings for the first time in his career, debuting at 29th.
At 157, senior Tanner Peake recorded a late take down in his match to knock off No. 26 Kyrel Leavell, 5-4.
Bryce Griffin gave Davidson its first lead with a come-from-behind win over No. 21 Thomas Snipes, who entered undefeated in league action. Down 2-1 in the second tiebreaker period, Griffin pulled off an unbelievable reversal just before the final whistle to win 3-2.
