Felt, Shoemaker Earn A-10 Weekly Recognition

WASHINGTON — Davidson swimmers Dylan Felt and Henry Shoemaker have earned Atlantic 10 Conference weekly recognition, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

Felt is A-10 Performer of the Week for the third time this season (also Sept. 30, Oct. 28), while Shoemaker is Rookie of the Week for the second time (Sept. 30), splitting this award with George Washington's Andres Brooks.

The honors come after Felt and Shoemaker helped the Wildcat men earn a team victory over William & Mary on Saturday afternoon in Cannon Pool.

Felt won two events against the Tribe, touching first in the 200 free (1:35.49) and 500 free (4:26.62). A senior and two-time A-10 Most Outstanding Performer, Felt already owns the league's top times in both events, and Saturday's times would otherwise be first (200) and second (500) in the league.

Shoemaker, a freshman, won the 1,000 free in 9:21.67, a top-5 time in the A-10.

Felt, Shoemaker and the Wildcats will compete at Gardner-Webb Saturday, Jan. 31.
