BRONX, N.Y. — Davidson's first trip to Fordham in almost six years — and its first since 2015 to play the Rams in a season series, specifically — proved productive Friday, as the Wildcats swept an Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader at Houlihan Park.

With the 10-5 and 17-6 victories, the Wildcats improved to 13-16 overall and moved into first place at 8-3 in the A-10.

Eli Putnam and Jamie Daly hit two home runs apiece to lead the way for Davidson, which last played on the Rams' multi-use field during the 2019 Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Game 1
Putnam and Jack Cotrone each drove in three runs, and the Wildcats scored the game's final six runs in the 10-5 win.

Daly's sixth-inning solo shot tied the game at 5-all, and Putnam's three-run blast in the ninth helped the Wildcats seal the win.

Cotrone had a two-run single in the fifth and drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI-double in the seventh. Daly finished 3-for-4, while six Wildcats had multiple hits.

Starting pitcher Wilson Perkins threw six innings, allowing seven hits and five earned runs and striking out eight. Matt Weber (0.2 IP) and Simon Yochum (2.1 IP) took it the rest of the way.

Game 2
Putnam and Cider Canon homered in the sixth inning, helping the Wildcats build an eight-run lead, and Daly's eighth-inning grand slam helped seal the 17-6 win.

Putnam's homer was his team-leading 11th, while Daly finished 3-for-5 and drove in a season-best seven runs. His first career grand slam was his eighth homer, and Canon (3-for-6) took his home run total to seven.

The Wildcats led 13-1 after a five-run seventh, capped by Anthony Torreso's RBI-single.

On the mound, starter Cooper Cavanaugh set the tone (3 IP, 2 hits, 3 Ks), before Jacob Vokal (3 IP, 1 ER, 3 hits, 3 Ks) also kept the Rams at bay as the Wildcats' lead grew.
