Daly Earns A-10 Rookie of the Week Honor

WASHINGTON — Davidson freshman outfielder Jamie Daly has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
The honor is the first for Daly and the second straight for the Wildcats, following pitcher Jacob Vokal's selection March 11.
"Jamie has been excellent all year," said Davidson coach Rucker Taylor. "He's been impressive since day one, and we're excited to see his continued development."
In three games against UMass, Daly hit .462 (6-for-13) with a 1.357 OPS, including a .769 slugging percentage. He hit a double and a home run and drove in four runs.
For the season, Daly leads the Wildcats with a .386 average, a 1.251 OPS, six doubles, four home runs and 17 RBIs.
Daly and the Wildcats will face N.C. State in Kannapolis on Tuesday night.
