Wildcats Try for Regular Season Sweep of Bonnies

DAVIDSON - The Davidson women's basketball team brings a four-game winning streak back to John M. Belk Arena in search of a regular season sweep of St. Bonaventure 1 p.m. Feb. 16.

SERIES HISTORY...
The Wildcats extended their lead in the all-time series to 9-6 over the Bonnies with a road win earlier this season. The 'Cats are currently on a six-game winning streak against the Bonnies as well. 

Charlise Dunn (17), Mallorie Haines (15) and Tomisin Adenupe (10) combined for 42 to help propel Davidson to a wire-to-wire 83-45 victory over St. Bonaventure Jan. 18 inside the Reilly Center. 

For the second time this season, Davidson tied a program-best 14 made 3-pointers with Haines leading the charge going 5-of-9 from distance as well as Adenupe on a perfect 2-of-2 effort beyond the arc. Additionally, the 'Cats connected on a season-best 34 field goals overall as all 13 players that touched the court scored at least one basket. 

Millie Prior stuffed the stats sheet with a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with four assists, two steals and a block in just 17 minutes of action. Dunn tallied six rebounds and three steals while Candice Lienafa contributed defensively as well with five rebounds and a pair of blocks.

LAST TIME OUT...
Dunn scored 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Davidson to a 61-51 victory over Dayton, Feb. 12 in front of 12,152 local students inside UD Arena on the Flyers' annual "School Day."

In addition to her fifth career double-double, Dunn added a career-high five blocks to go with three steals in 40 minutes of action. 

Prior would grab a game-high 12 rebounds, while Katie Donovan finished with 10 points for Davidson, which forced 21 turnovers and held Dayton to just 35 percent shooting.  

HOMETOWN HEROES...
Davidson has been at its best this season when playing in the confines of John M. Belk Arena, currently sitting at a solid 8-3 home record. 

All told, the 'Cats are outscoring its opponents by an sizable +111 margin including a +10.1 margin per game. The Wildcats are scoring .434 percent from the field, .341 percent beyond the arc and .722 percent at the charity stripe on Bob McKillop court this season. 

Morgan (11.6 ppg) and Donovan (10.6) pace the offense while Donovan (5.0 rpg), Dunn (4.6 rpg) and Prior (4.0) lead the defense on their home court. 

Haines (22) and Bruyndoncx (15) have torched the nets from distance in Belk accounting for .493 percent of Davidson's made 3-pointers at home this season. 

AN ALL AROUND EFFORT...
Over 24 games, the Wildcats have found immense production from its bench when called upon to enter the game. So far this season, the Davidson bench has outscored its competitors bench by +126 (506-380), attesting to the Share, Shoot, Stifle mantra of the program.

DUNN IN ELITE COMPANY...
With her impressive stat line of 23 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks and three steals against the Flyers, Dunn became just the second player this season to acquire such a line, second to only USC Trojan JuJu Watkins.

Ranking fifth in the nation and first in the Atlantic 10 in opponent 3-point percentage at just .250, the Wildcats have continued to defend the arc well entering the final contests of the regular season. So far this season, Davidson has surrendered just 84 total made 3-pointers, allowing its opponents to hit more than six triples only one time this season.

The 'Cats have held their competitors to no made 3-pointers on three occasions this season (0-6 Presbyterian, 0-3 Charlotte, 0-8 George Mason).

The Bonnies enter the weekend conference contest looking to break a nine-game losing streak, with its last victory coming by way of nailbiting 68-66 win over Saint Louis Jan. 8 inside the Reilly Center. 

Most recently, St. Bonaventure was bested 58-49 by George Washington at home Feb. 8. 

As a team, the Bonnies are averaging 54.8 points and 29.0 rebounds per game while shooting .371 from the field, .320 from 3-point range and .761 at the foul line this season. 

Leading the way for the St. Bonaventure offense is Dani Haskell who tallies 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. Following is Zoe Shaw with 11.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 2.1 apg. On the defensive end of the court Caitlin Frost paces the Bonnies with a team-high 5.2 rpg to go along with 9.0 ppg and 1.1 apg.
