DAVIDSON, NC – Davidson held George Washington to a .066 hitting percentage in a straight-set victory on Friday night.
The Wildcats took the first set 25-22. The team posted a .286 hitting percentage and only had three attack errors. Cayla Weisner had four kills in the first set.
Davidson extended the lead with a 25-17 win in set two. The Wildcats had three service aces in this frame. The momentum continued into the third set with a 25-15 win.
Elena Garcia-Guerrios led the Wildcats with 16 kills. The junior also added 13 digs and two service aces. Meile Songaila recorded eight kills, seven digs, and two service aces. Ylame Dsamou and Kinsey Smith combined for 33 assists. Cayla Weisner was very efficient with six kills, a .625 hitting percentage, and four block assists.
