Davidson Defeated by Ramblers Saturday

CHICAGO -- In their second match of the weekend, the Davidson Wildcats fell 3-0 to the Loyola Chicago Ramblers from inside Gentile Arena Saturday.
The 'Cats move to 5-8 overall on the season and 1-1 in Atlantic 10 play, while Loyola improves to 6-7 overall and 1-1 in the league.
After downing the Ramblers 3-1 on Friday, the Wildcats swung .190 at the net in game two, while the Ramblers hit at a .271 clip.
Meile Songaila and Melanie Tilles led the Wildcats' attack, as Songaila recorded 10 kills and Tilles swung a team-best .462 attacking percentage. Isabel Decker added 10 kills of her own, in addition to seven digs and a service ace.
Despite the three-set loss, the 'Cats pushed Loyola to the brink on Saturday, including forcing a 29-27 set two decision. After kills from Decker and Emma Slusser, Davidson earned its first of three set points, but solid serving from Loyola's Bree Borum and a pair of Davidson miscues allowed the Ramblers came out on top in the end.
