Wildcats Wrap Up Final Day of Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. – In addition to Megan Burkholder's Top-5 finish in the pole vault, the Davidson women's track and field team set a number of personal and season bests on the final day of the Duke Invitational inside Morris Williams Stadium.
Burkholder, who holds the program record (3.88m) in the event, jumped a season-best 3.85 (12'-7 ½") Saturday afternoon to come home tied for fourth.
In the 800 meters, Isabella Godoy once again set a new personal record with a time of 2:11.77 to finish in 10th place out of 44 competitors. Teammate and classmate Jocelyn Millican also ran her fastest time of the season in the event with a 2:14.78.
For the second straight week, Sophia Hood topped her best time of the season in the 400 meters with a 56.07.
The Wildcats' 4x400 relay team of Kierra Marshall, Hood, Godoy also Millican also turned in their best time of the season with a 3:51.36.
Capping off the annual meet for the 'Cats was sophomore Hannah Casey, who tallied a personal-best 4,287 points in the Heptathlon.
Davidson's outdoor season features seven straight weekends of competition in preparation for the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships, which will take place May 4-5 in Fairfax, Va.
