'Cats Extend Winning Streak with 4-1 Victory Over Campbell

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Continuing with its latest success, the Davidson men's tennis team picked up a 4-1 non-conference win over Campbell Sunday morning to extend its winning streak to four matches.  
 
"An incredible effort from our guys today," said head coach Drew Barrett. "We played with great confidence early and ended with some really tough play to win it in the end."
 
With the victory the Wildcats improve to 4-2 overall with a 1-0 record in Atlantic 10 action.
 
Luca Lovrich and Jerry Wang took a 6-2 win at the No. 3 position while Udday Singh and Nico Pinzon battled to a 7-6 (8) tiebreaker victory out of the No. 2 spot to claim the doubles point for the 'Cats.
 
Sebastian Carpio Morgan earned his second singles win of the season this time by way of 6-3, 6-1 victory in the No. 4 spot. Singh carried the momentum into the singles competition, fighting for a 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 win out of the No. 1 position while Juan Camilo Perez Gongora found success in the No. 2 spot with a 6-1, 7-5 win to clinch the match for Davidson.

Davidson will continue its home stand when it welcomes James Madison and Coastal Carolina for a pair of matches Feb. 24 (1 p.m.) and Feb. 25 (12 p.m.) respectfully.
