Women Pick Up Two Wins on Final Day of Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Isabella Godoy won the 1,000 meters and Anne Berquist finished first in the mile to lead the Davidson women's indoor track and field team on the final day of the Camel City Invite.
Godoy, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week following the Wildcats' season opener, finished in a personal-record time of 2:57.29 to lead the field.
Fellow freshman Amelia Monohan (3:03.79) also recorded a Top-5 finish in the 1,000 meters.
Coming off her first-ever sub-5 minute mile, Berquist bettered last week's PR with a 4:57.58 to place first out of 52 competitors Saturday.
Jocelyn Millican turned in a solid performance in the 800 meters (3rd / 2:17.44), while Frances Whitworth (6th / 9:51.31) and Hallie Stewart (10:24.14) set new personal records in the 3000 meters.

Davidson will travel to Virginia for the Winter Relays (Feb. 2-3) and Liberty Open (Feb. 3). The 'Cats will compete over the next three weekends in preparation for the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships Feb. 23-24 in Virginia Beach, Va.
