NEWPORT NEWS, Va -- For the second time this season freshman Allie Hartnett has been named the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The Massillon, Ohio native was efficient on both ends of the ball during a 2-0 week for the Wildcats, scoring two goals during a 12-7 win on Saturday, while also picking up five ground balls and five draw controls across the two-game stretch. Against George Washington this weekend, Hartnett earned three ground balls, three draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers during the win.
Hartnett's honor is the fifth Atlantic 10 weekly award that the Wildcats have received this season, as Grace Fahey, Julianne Carey and Riley Cochrane have all won Player of the Week titles throughout the year.
