Women's Track and Field Wraps Up Weekend at South Carolina Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Davidson women's track team finished off their weekend by competing at the final day of the South Carolina Invitational on Saturday.
Davidson's top finish came in the distance medley relay as the pairing of Breila Fuller, Sophia Hood, Kelsey Troutman, and Frances Whitworth combined for a time of 11:47.35. This placed the Wildcats third in the event.
Sophomore Anna Catherine Wilson took the top individual finish for the Wildcats in the 5,000 meters. Her time of 18:25.64 was good for 6th place and set a new personal record by 12 seconds.
Rounding out the day was Kate Carnevale who turned in a top-25 finish in the 200 meters with a time of 25.46, and Liz Simms finished 35thst out of over 100 competitors in the 800 meters with a time of 2:18.96.
The women's track team will run again this weekend at Liberty's Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
