Monahan Named to Inside Lacrosse All-American Squad

BALTIMORE -- Davidson goalkeeper Amanda Monahan was named to Inside Lacrosse's ILWomen Preseason Honorable Mention All-American Team on Friday morning.
The All-American nod is the third preseason honor for the senior, who ranked in the top-5 in the nation in total saves (185) and save percentage (.512) in 2022. While leading the Wildcats to their winningest season in program history, she averaged 10.28 saves per game and earned a First Team All-Conference honor from the A-10 and an Honorable Mention All-American honor from USA Lacrosse Magazine at the conclusion of the season.
Monahan set the program record for most wins by a goalkeeper in a single season during her junior year, collecting 12 victories in cage, and has 313 career saves to date entering her final season.
The Massachusetts native has been recognized by USA Lacrosse Magazine for a second time with a Preseason Honorable Mention All-American award and was named to the Atlantic 10's Preseason All-Conference squad. She is also the lone A-10 player to be recognized on the IL All-American teams.
