NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Davidson sophomore Riley Cochrane was named the Atlantic 10's Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday evening.
The attacker recorded a career-best day during a 20-14 win over Mercer on Sunday, notching a game-high eight points off a team-best six goals with two assists. The eight-point day marks a career-high for Cochrane, in addition to her six scores. The A-10 weekly honor is also a first for the Fairfield, Conn. native.
Cochrane is the third Wildcat in as many weeks to earn a weekly nod from the Atlantic 10, as Allie Hartnett earned Rookie of the Week after the first week of the season and Julianne Carey won Player of the Week last week.
Cochrane and the rest of the Wildcats will be back in action on Wednesday, March 1 to take on Winthrop inside Richardson Stadium.
