Women Set to Open Indoor Track & Field Campaign

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Under the direction of head coach Jen Straub, the Davidson women's indoor track and field team will open their 2023-24 campaign this weekend at multiple sites.
In addition to a number of Wildcats competing at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, others will head to nearby Winston-Salem for the College Kickoff at the JDL Fast Track.

Davidson's indoor slate will feature seven weekend dates followed by the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships Feb. 23-24 in Virginia Beach, Va.
Among those returning to this year's squad include sprinters and school-record holders Kierra Marshall (60m / 200m) and Sophia Hood (600m) as well as pole vaulter Megan Burkholder.
The Wildcats also welcome back distance runners Frances Whitworth and Anne Berquist, who each had standout seasons on the cross country trails.

Davidson will resume its indoor slate after the New Year when it travels to Columbia for the Carolina Challenge Jan. 19-20.
