PITTSBURGH – Despite falling behind 1-0 early in the match, the Davidson Wildcats regained momentum and defeated Duquesne 3-1 in the Atlantic 10 regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the 'Cats finished the season 19-9 overall and 11-7 in league play while riding a five-match win streak into the conference tournament.
Jackie Bardin and Mia Compas led the Davidson offense, recording 12 and 11 kills, respectively, while Bella Brady picked up an impressive 35 digs over the four-set match.
Despite being out-hit 13-11 in the first set, the Wildcats bounced back and swung .237 over the final three frames to complete the bounce-back win.
With a 2-1 match lead, the Dukes pushed Davidson to its limits in the fourth, leading 23-17 after timely hitting and a pair of Wildcat miscues.
