Davidson's Block Powers Past Patriots

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Davidson volleyball team had its best blocking performance of the season on Friday night while routing George Mason in a 3-0 victory.
Kayla Davis led the brigade with five block assists, while the Wildcats recorded a team-best 12 total blocks.
Davidson fell behind 6-3 in the first set, but rallied behind a 13-0 run to cruise past the Patriots 25-10.
In sets two and three, the 'Cats recorded 31 of their 40 total kills and swung .353 at the net to pull off 25-18 and 25-11 set wins.
Overall, Davidson swung at a .299 clip and held the Patriots to a -.070 attacking percentage.
Isabel Decker paced the offense with 13 kills, her sixth-straight double-digit effort, and Anna Withee was recorded an impressive seven kills on 16 swings (.375). Middle blocker Sola Omonije notched four kills on seven swings, while adding a pair of solo blocks and block assists to the stat sheet.
Libero Bella Brady picked up 25 digs for her eighth 20+ performance of the season.
