SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Freshmen Liam Hagerty and John Cooper paced the Davidson men's cross country team at the USC Upstate Invitational on Saturday.
Hagerty, a native of Severna Park, Maryland finished inside the top 50 out of 275 participants at Saturday's event when he crossed the finish line in 25:36.8.
His first-year counterpart, John Cooper finished not far behind after stopping the clock in 25:41.0, and veteran Grahm Breiter crossed with a time of 25:45.6.
Ryan Harris rounded out the top-4 for the Wildcats after recording a 26:09.1.
"We had very solid runs by our top-four today," said head coach Andrew Allden. "We had two freshman run one and three and I thought Liam and Ryan put together very good races. John and Grahm continue to be very consistent for us as well."
Davidson ended the day with 283 points to secure a tenth-place team finish out of 27 teams. Charleston Southern won the event with 32 points while ETSU's Jason Bowers won the individual title by recording a 23:10.2.
