Football Hosts Banquet, Awards Seniors

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson Football hosted their annual banquet on Friday evening, honoring the seniors and scholar-athletes who have earned conference awards and team awards for their efforts on and off the field.
The 2021 team captains - Jalen Jefferson, Louis Colosimo, Eli Turner Jr., Cade Vela, Jordan Reed and Coy Williams - were awarded stones.
The following awards were also presented at the banquet:
Newcomer of the Year – Darryn Kindles
Alex Porter '60 Special Teams MVP Award – Chris Panko
Paul Barbee '59 Offensive MVP Award – Coy Williams
Paul Biggers '59 Defensive MVP Award – Jake Alexander
Bill Gannon '70 Wildcat Award/Prosser Sands Carnegie "WE" Award – Jalen Jefferson and Eli Turner Jr.
Scholar-athletes were also given their certificates and plaques from the Pioneer Football League (PFL) for Academic All-Conference (Jonathan Hammond, Bradyn Oakley, Evan Pritchard, Eli Turner Jr., and Jack Wiese) and to those who were named All-PFL First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.
The Spring Game will be held today, April 23 at 6 pm at Richardson Stadium complete with food trucks and Brickhouse Tavern. The yard sale will begin at 5:15 and run through the end of the game, where there will be postgame autographs.
