'Cats and Cross-County Rival Set to Host Irish Creek Collegiate

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – For the 12th time in 13 years, Davidson and its cross-county rival Charlotte will co-host the Irish Creek Collegiate. The two-day 54-hole event be played at The Club at Irish Creek April 2-3.
In addition to the hosts, the tournament field will feature Appalachian State, Dartmouth Dayton, East Carolina, Elon, High Point, Jacksonville, James Madison, Lipscomb, Marshall, Ole Miss, Richmond and VCU.
Through three team events this spring, the Wildcats have posted a pair of Top-10 finishes, including a runner-up showing a Pinehurst last month.
Alex Heffner, Will Davis, Clayton Tribus, Viraj Garewal and Ethan Hall will be in the Davidson starting lineup, while Brian Garrett, Dean Naime, Adam Lauer and Cole Walter will compete as individuals.
Saturday's opening round will begin at 8 a.m. The Wildcats will be paired with the 49ers, Ole Miss and Jacksonville.
