
‘Cats Compete at First Day of Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Aleia Gisolfi-McCready won two events as the 'Cats performed well on the first day of the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track.
The freshman won the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash on Friday afternoon with times of 25.52 and 57.63, respectively.
In the 200-meter dash, Rachel Horowitz took third, stopping the clock just under a minute at 59.98. Sophia finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 25.81.
Jayden Smith and Cory Gaither both made it to the 60H and Smith took third with a time of 8.05, just 10 hundredths of a second off the record he set earlier this year.
In the 400-meter dash on the men's side, Amit Markos ran a 52.75 to finish in third place.
The Davidson Track & Field Team will finish competing at the Camel City Invitational tomorrow.
