Wildcats to Host Prospect ID Clinic Nov. 27
10/4/2022 12:44:00 PM | Women's Soccer
The Davidson women's soccer program will offer a Senior ID Prospect Clinic in November, head coach Adam Denton announced this week.
The clinic, for players in grades 7-12, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"We're excited to have the opportunity to host this camp," said Denton. "These have been a vital part of our process over the last few years in identifying players and also for players having the opportunity to decide whether Davidson is the right opportunity for them in their academic and athletic careers."
The clinic is designed for competitive, ambitious club players who are considering playing college soccer at the NCAA Division I, Division II or Division III levels. It follows curriculum designed by the Davidson women's soccer staff and will expose the players to the training methods and practices utilized by the Wildcats. The clinic will be held at the Davidson College soccer facilities and will cover technical and tactical aspects of the game.
Players will get to interact with the coaching staff and learn more about the program.
Goalkeeper training is also available. It is directed by Davidson's goalkeeper coach and will feature specific training on the technical and functional areas of goalkeeping, such as diving, positional play, dealing with crosses, distribution and organization. It also allows the goalkeepers to participate in full-sided games.
