Davidson Concludes Competition at ITA Regionals

CARY, N.C. -- The Davidson men's tennis team concluded its competition at the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships on Sunday, competing against more than 128 competitors and 23 schools hosted by Duke University.
Five Wildcats began on the main stage at the Cary Tennis Park on Friday, as the trip was highlighted by junior Alejandro Solares advancing to the Consolation Draw's Round of 32 after a 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 singles victory during the round of 64.
In doubles play, Juan Camilo Perez Gongora and Maxwell Kachkarov had an impressive outing, picking up a three-set victory (6-7 (6), 6-3 [10-5]) against Elon's Condos and Penagos.
The 'Cats will return to action for their final fall draw on Friday at the Wake Forest Invitational.
