The Davidson Football Program reached a new level this past season with its first ever PFL Championship and FCS playoff appearance. To build on the momentum from this historic accomplishment, Davidson Athletics announces the launch of the "Together, WE" fundraising campaign, a bold new vision for Davidson football.
The "Together, WE" campaign aims to provide championship resources to our football program for the upcoming season and years to come.
The success of Davidson football is critically important to the long-term comprehensive growth of Davidson Athletics. Davidson College is committed to growing resources for Davidson football by increasing revenue sources, including through philanthropic support.
During the "Together, WE" campaign, Davidson Athletics seeks recurring annual gifts and multi-year pledges to the Gridiron Club to enhance resources supporting a championship-level program. Donations to the Gridiron Club directly support Davidson Football.
Join us as the "Together, WE" campaign aspires to raise $600,000 annually for Davidson football. The fiscal year runs July 1 - June 30. Over the next four weeks, WE are seeking to raise $100,000 to reach our goal set for the fiscal year.
As part of the "Together, WE" campaign, the football program expanded Gridiron Club giving levels and benefits. Benefits will be fulfilled based off previous fiscal year giving levels.

In alignment with the 'Athletics Done Right Strategic Foundation', Davidson Athletics is focused on generating increased resources through annual, endowed and planned gifts. These resources help provide an outstanding experience that impact scholar-athletes athletically, academically and socially for the rest of their lives.
Individuals interested in supporting Davidson football and becoming members of the Gridiron Club should contact Alex Shields, coordinator of football development, at alshields@davidson.edu or (704) 894-2611.
Chris Clunie '06 – Davidson Director of Athletics
"We've said from the outset, we want to build a program. We're not interested in only assembling a team that can win games … we intend to build a program in which our community can be proud. Join us in this important journey, and know your investments in Davidson football will allow us to do more with more and do athletics the right way. Go 'Cats!"
Scott Abell – Davidson Head Football Coach
"WE are so proud to have quickly built a championship program here at Davidson in just three seasons, but we are not done yet. We are seeking to sustain a championship culture at Davidson, and we need resources from the Gridiron Club to make that happen. Our Gridiron Club fundraising allows us to retain our coaching staff by bolstering our assistant coaches' salary pool and enables us to recruit the most talented scholar-athletes across the country. In addition, we utilize Gridiron Club resources to travel efficiently to road games and provide state-of-the-art equipment for our team. I am extremely excited by the announcement of the "Together, WE" campaign and believe the increased resources to the program will allow us to compete for championships year in and year out."
