Soccer's Mary Grace Bunch has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday morning.
The honor is the second of the year for the junior goalkeeper from Raleigh, who was also honored on Feb. 22. She earned two weekly awards last year and was named to the A-10 Second Team.
"It's been another great season for Mary Grace," said coach Adam Denton. "She has grown in her leadership of our back four and our team. Really happy for her and our team."
This past week, Bunch helped the Wildcats secure two ties that proved critical for Davidson earning a spot in the A-10 Tournament for the first time. She played all 220 minutes in goal and made seven saves, including five in the 0-0 tie with VCU on Thursday.
Bunch and the Wildcats will face UMass at 5 p.m. Thursday at Saint Louis in the A-10's second semifinal.
