
Carey Earns Third-Straight A-10 Rookie of the Week Honor

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — For the third time in as many weeks, Davidson lacrosse freshman Julianne Carey has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.
A midfielder from Blue Bell, Pa., Carey had a game-high and career-high five points in Sunday's 17-7 road win over Campbell. She scored two goals and assisted on three more in the Wildcats' third straight win.
Carey is currently one of four Wildcats with double-digit points, joining Sam Rippley (14), Gianna New (11) and Jane DiGregorio (10).
The Wildcats return to the field Wednesday when they visit High Point for a 4 p.m. game.
