'Cats Beat Colonials, Earn 10th A-10 Win

WASHINGTON, D.C. — With a fourth straight Atlantic 10 win Sunday afternoon, the Davidson volleyball team put the finishing touches on a breakthrough regular season.
The Wildcats posted a 3-0 win at George Washington to finish the scheduled slate 14-12 overall, including a program-best 10-6 A-10 record. Now, they'll move on to their third A-10 Tournament, this time as the No. 4 seed after making two appearances as a No. 6 seed (2016, 2019).
The 14-win season is the most since the 2013 Wildcats won 16 matches, and during their four-match win streak, the Wildcats have won 12 of 15 sets.
On Sunday, Davidson brushed by the Colonials 25-19, 25-21 and 25-22. Malia Kay led the way with 10 kills and 13 digs, while Madeline Wynn added nine kills and Hattie Rodriguez had seven.
Xuan Nguyen and Jessie Doyal combined for 32 assists and 22 digs, and Lauryn Albold and Sola Omonije had four and three blocks, respectively.
