DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Davidson Wildcats fell 3-0 to Dayton University in Atlantic 10 league play on Sunday afternoon in Belk Arena.
The Flyers, who remain unbeaten at 11-0 in the conference, swung .267 overall while the 'Cats hit a .058 attacking percentage as a team. At the net, Dayton also combined for 12 total blocks compared to Davidson's two stops.
Sophomore Bella Brady had a match-high 17 digs, while rookie Isabel Decker recorded her second double-double in as many matches (10 kills, 11 digs) and eighth of the season. Senior Lauryn Albold had an efficient outing as well, swinging a team-best .308 with five kills on 13 attempts.
Despite Dayton taking the first and third sets 25-17, the Wildcats pushed the Flyers to their limits in set two. After jumping out to a 2-0 lead early, the 'Cats moved their advantage to 5-2 after kills from Decker and Albold. Davidson would hang onto its lead by the 8-5 marker after a service ace from Brady, but the Flyers surged into a 10-2 run and took a 15-10 lead midway through the frame.
The Wildcats kept up the fight however, pulling back within one of the Flyers at 20-19 with a Decker service ace, kill and Dayton miscues. But ultimately, the comeback was not enough as the Flyers took the set 25-22 en route to their three-set victory.

Davidson will return to the courts next weekend for a Friday night tilt against VCU in Belk, before hitting the road to take on the Rams on Sunday in Richmond. Friday night's match will also serve as the Wildcats' senior night.
