Wildcats Begin Play at Georgia State Invitational

DULUTH, Ga. – Competing as an individual, Davidson's Clayton Tribus (144 | E) carded a second-round two-under 70 to sit T-19th, while Will Davis (73-72 = 145 | +1) is one back of his teammate and paces the Wildcat lineup after day one of the 2021 Georgia State Invitational.
The two-day/54-hole event is being played on the Par 72, 6,706-yard Berkeley Hills Country Club layout.
Tomorrow's third and final round will begin at 8 a.m. off the 1st and 10th tees.
After 36 holes, the Wildcats, who sit at 588 (291-297), are just 12 shots out of the Top-5.
Ethan Hall (+3 | T-38), Viraj Garewal (+4 | T-40), Alex Heffner (+5 | T-42) and Brian Garrett (+9 | T-68) are also competing for Davidson.
Lafayette College (-6) holds the top spot on the tightly contested 15-team leaderboard as just six swings separate the leaders from Tennessee Tech and North Alabama, which are tied for fourth.
Oakland's Thomas Giroux (68-66 = 134 | -10) will enter the final day with a five-shot lead over Mikkel Mathiesen (-5) of Wright State.
