
Three Grapplers Earn SoCon Academic All-Conference Accolades

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Three Davidson wrestlers were named to the Southern Conference Academic All-Conference Team, announced by the league Wednesday.
Junior Will Baldwin, sophomore Finlay Holston and senior Noah Satterfield made the grade for the Wildcats. To be eligible for the SoCon Academic All-Conference Team, scholar-athletes must have completed at least three semesters, have a cumulative grade point average above 3.3 and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions.
Recently named a captain for the upcoming 2020-21 campaign, Baldwin, an interdisciplinary studies major, competed at 149 pounds for Davidson that included a win at the SoCon Championship in March.
Holston, a product of Winthrop, Wash., opened the season with a 3-1 performance at the season-opening Southeast Open. Holston pinned a pair of opponents throughout the season. He will declare for a major prior to the upcoming semester.
Satterfield recently graduated with a degree in psychology. The Marysville, Ohio, product and team captain grappled at 174 pounds, finishing with seven wins.
