Football Awarded FCS ADA APR Recognition

WESTLAKE, Ohio – Davidson football was one of 24 NCAA FCS programs honored by the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) as recipients of an Academic Progress Rate (APR) Award.
The FCS ADA APR recognizes one institution at each of the 13 FCS conference that has the highest APR score and another program per conference that improved the most from the previous year.
Davidson was awarded the Pioneer Football League Most Improved program, while the Flyers of Dayton took the Highest APR laurels for the conference.
"We are extremely proud of our improvement. We talk daily about being the best version of ourselves in all areas," said head coach Scott Abell. "This is another example of how hard our program is working across all platforms"
In 2003, the NCAA member colleges and universities adopted a comprehensive academic reform package designed to improve the academic success and graduation of all student-athletes. The centerpiece of the package is the academic measurement for teams, known as the Academic Progress Rate (APR).
