ABOUT DAVIDSON
Senior Noah Satterfield improved to 2-1 in SoCon bouts following his 4-2 decision victory at Appalachian State last Sunday. The Marysville, Ohio, native was a bright spot in a difficult week for the 'Cats, going 2-0 in a pair of duals. Satterfield sits tied atop the team in wins with Kyle Gorant and Conor Fenn at six apiece.
THE SERIES vs. THE CITADEL
The last time the Bulldogs came to Belk Arena in the 2017-18 season was the first time Davidson ever beat The Citadel, earning a 25-15 victory over their SoCon foes. The Citadel holds a 1-55-1 advantage all-time over the 'Cats, but the matchup has been tighter of late - the Bulldogs held off Davidson in Charleston, S.C., last season, 20-18.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Citadel (2-1, 0-0 SoCon) opens their SoCon slate Friday at Davidson. The Bulldogs early season featured a heavy slate of invitationals, six, competing in just three duals to date.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
Starting at the 133-pound weight class, Davidson got out to a 6-0 lead with decision victories from Kyle Gorant and Caleb Ziebell. Satterfield, Conor Fenn and Mitchell Trigg also saw their hands raised in a tight, 20-18 loss for the 'Cats.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HOSE
In the programs inaugural campaign, Presbyterian sits at 0-3 and 0-1 entering the week. Blue Hose redshirt-freshman Austin Stith has fared the best, opening his career 8-7 and has come on strong of late, a winner in three of his last four bouts. Jacob Brasseur (7-9) at 125-pounds and Parker Corwin (6-6) at 133 have also seen early success. Four of Corwin's six victories have been pins.
