Yarbrough to Compete in NCAA East Region Prelim

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Davidson senior Caroline Yarbrough will compete in her second consecutive NCAA East Preliminary Meet Thursday, May 23 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
The Greensboro, N.C., native will lace up her flats in the 10,000-meter run after qualifying with an Atlantic 10 Championship winning time of 34:27.15. Her personal best ranks second all-time behind only Erin Osment's 34:15.25 set at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championship in Eugene, Ore.
Yarbrough competed in her first NCAA East Prelims last year long with former teammate Sarah Sears '18, placing 10th in her section of the 5k.
To qualify for the NCAA Division Championship in Austin, Texas, Yarbrough must finish top-12 overall.
Yarbrough will toe the 10k line Thursday night at 9 p.m.
