Davis and Tankard Land on A-10 Outdoor All-Rookie Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshmen Anna Davis and Hazel Tankard earned spots on the Atlantic 10 Outdoor All-Rookie team, announced by the league Wednesday.
Tankard claimed a spot on the team with her sixth-place finish in the heptathlon at the A-10 Outdoor Championship on the first weekend of May at Massachusetts. The Exmore, Va., native registered 4258 points, 581 more than her heptathlon debut at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Tankard was previously named to the A-10 Indoor All-Rookie team for her efforts in the pentathlon.
Davis made the squad for her efforts in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing her rookie campaign with a season-best run of 1:02.94 at the A-10 Championship. Her times ranks second all-time in program history.
The A-10 All-Rookie team comprises of the top freshman finisher in each individual event throughout the regular season and concludes at the conference championship.
