DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson's head coach Adam Denton will hold multiple opportunities this summer as women's soccer will host two ID Prospect Clinics and one Residential ID camp over the summer.
"Our camp opportunities this summer give opportunity to both the player and coaches to determine if Davidson is the right fit," said Denton. "These ID clinics have been important with each of our players from our incoming classes attending these clinics in the last 18-24 months. This year we will also offer an Elite Residential ID camp , and the opportunity to stay on campus will only add to the camp experience for the players."
The Prospect ID Clinics will be held Sunday, June 9 and Sunday, August 4, while the two-day Elite Residential ID Camp will be held over the weekend of July 13-14. Prospect ID Clinics, June 9 & August 4
Prospect ID Clinics follow a one-day curriculum, designed by the Davidson College Women's Soccer staff, that will expose players to the training methods and practices used by the Davidson Soccer staff. These Prospect ID Clinics are for competitive, ambitious club players that are considering playing college soccer at the NCAA D1, D2 or D3 level. The camp will be held at the Davidson College soccer facilities and will cover technical and tactical aspects of the game. Separate goalkeeper training is available and is directed by Davidson's goalkeeper coach. Along with training at our top-notch facilities, players will have exposure to our coaching staff and the opportunity to interact and learn more about our program.
The Prospect ID Clinics are also for GK's who have specific training to work on the technical and functional areas of goalkeeping, such as diving, positional play, dealing with crosses, distribution, and organization, but also allows the GK's to participate in full sided games.
