Men's T&F Wraps Up Charlotte Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Davidson freshman Max Pearson led the 1500-meter crew Friday night as the Wildcats wrapped up day two of the Charlotte Invitational Saturday in the Queen City.
Pearson took third in his heat, stopping the clock in 3:56.67, while classmate Raphael Oettl came home fifth in the section with a time of 3:57.40.
On Saturday, sophomore Daniel Alvarez won the open 800-meter run, stopping the clock in 1:53.90, beating out 22 other competitors. Freshman Bryce Kalsu took fourth, 1:55.06, while classmate Jonah Lane came home sixth overall, 1:55.35.
Freshman Cory Gaither was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.73 seconds. Gaither returned to place fifth in the 400-meter hurdles, 53.79 seconds, while senior teammate Sean Caveney placed eighth in 54.89 seconds.
Sophomore Miles Hollimon was eighth across the line in the 100-meter dash, leaning over the line in 11.21 seconds. Iain Anderson placed third in the open 1500-meter run, stopping the clock in 4:04.04.
Davidson returns to the track Saturday, Apr. 20 for the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
