FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Highlighted by a final round two-under 70, Davidson's Hoke Carlton (216 | E) finished the 2019 Fort Laurderdale Intercollegiate tied for 11th on Tuesday.
The two-day 54-hole tournament was played on the Par 72, 6,861-yard Fort Lauderdale Country Club layout.
The Wildcats climbed two spots up the team leaderboard to conclude the annual event tied for sixth at 875 (289-295-291).
Jack Lang turned in another solid performance finishing tied for 13th at 217 (69-75-73). Like Carlton, Alex Ross (221 | +5) posted a sub-par round on his final 18 to come home tied for 26th with teammate Viraj Garewal (221 | +5).
Freshman Clayton Tribus, who was competing as an individual, also turned in a Top-25 finish for the Wildcats at 220 (+4).
No. 23 South Florida (-24) cruised to the team title by 23 strokes over Florida Gulf Coast, while the Bulls' Albin Bergstrom claimed individual medalist at 15-under 201.
