Carlton Named A-10 Golfer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Coming off a personal-best showing at the 2019 Furman Intercollegiate, Davidson's Hoke Carlton has been named Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office Friday.
A senior from Charlotte, Carlton finished tied for third out of 120 competitors last weekend with a 54-hole total of 208 (71-69-68).
Over his last three tournaments, Carlton has posted a 71.67 stroke average, while recording three Top-15 finishes.
"I'm very proud of Hoke," said head coach Tim Straub. "He has been playing very well all year and it was nice to see him compete for a title individually. He played some terrific golf on a tricky course at Furman."
Enjoying one of their most successful campaigns in program history, the Wildcats have a pair of wins and six Top-3 finishes this season, while holding a team scoring average of 288.43.
