Benson Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Davidson's Jordan Benson was named the first Men's Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the 2019-20 indoor season, announced by the league Tuesday.
In his collegiate debut, Benson reached the 60-meter hurdle finals at the JDL Early Bird Invite and leaned across the line in 8.33 seconds, the second fastest time in Davidson history behind sophomore teammate Cory Gaither. After one weekend of competition, the Mason, Mich., native currently stands atop the A-10 performance list in the event.
Davidson returns to the track Sunday, Jan. 19 at the JDL January College Kick Off.
