Heffner and Morehead Sign with Golf for 2020-21

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Alex Heffner (Harrisburg, N.C.) and Ben Morehead (Charlotte, N.C.) have signed with the Davidson golf team for the 2020-21 campaign, as announced Monday by head coach Tim Straub.
"I am very excited to have Alex and Ben join our golf team next fall," said Straub. "They both are tremendous young men who had terrific high school and junior tournament results along with being outstanding students. I look for both of them to have a big impact over their four years."

Currently fifth ranked player in state of North Carolina… Finished runner-up at the 2019 North Carolina Junior Boys Championship… Qualified for the 2019 United States Amateur Championships… Finished 11th in the 2019 North Carolina Amateur Championship… Captured the 2019 NCHSAA 4A Regional Crown.

Currently 11th ranked player in the state of North Carolina… Led Myers Park to the 2019 4A State Championship… Finished 10th at the Carolinas PGA Junior Championship… Placed seventh in the Hope Valley Junior Invitational.
Davidson, which finished the fall with a pair of Top-5 finishes, will open its 2020 spring season at the Wexford Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S.C., Feb. 24-25.
