Wildcats Hosting USA Baseball Clinic Oct. 22

The Davidson baseball program is partnering with USA Baseball to host a Community Coaches Clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Wilson Field.
The clinic, which will run from 6 to 9 p.m., is free and open to anyone age 18 and older who coaches, or has an interest in coaching, baseball. The clinic, led by the Davidson baseball staff, will satisfy the (Level C) in-person requirement for USA Baseball's Coaching Certification.
"This is an exciting opportunity to bring the local baseball community together and learn from each other," said Davidson coach Rucker Taylor. "USA Baseball is an organization of the highest class, and we are honored to be the host for the evening."
The clinic is a networking opportunity for coaches and will include on-field demonstrations in topics such as hitting, fielding, pitching, defense, practice planning and drills.
"We are very excited at USA Baseball to partner with Davidson College Baseball to host a Community Coaches Clinic," said USA Baseball Director of Coaching Development Andrew Bartman. "These events aim to provide coaching education to parents and coaches of all levels free of cost. Coach Taylor and Davidson are doing the community a great service by volunteering their time and expertise to grow the game."
Wilson Field is located at 202 Martin Court in Davidson.
