Men's XC Tackles Trails at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The men's cross country team placed 11th of 24 teams at the Princeton Invitational Saturday morning at West Windsor Fields.
Led by sophomore Max Pearson, the Wildcats registered 319 points and placed ahead of Atlantic 10 foes Duquesne (13th) and George Washington (18th). Stony Brook won the meet with 55 points, while Connecticut and La Salle rounded out the top three.
Pearson completed the 8,000-meter course in 24:42.0, good for 27th. George Lewis was the next Wildcat to enter the finishing chute, stopping the clock in 24:58.1.
The Wildcat scoring was done solely by the Class of 2022 as Coleman Mitchell (25:17.8), Raphael Oettl (25:37.4) and Colin Ross (25:40.0) rounded out the top five 'Cats.
Davidson returns to the trails Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Fairfax, Va.
