Ross Grabs Second Straight A-10 Weekly Honor

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the second consecutive week, Davidson's Alex Ross has been named the Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office Friday afternoon.
Ross shares this week's honor with Rhode Island's Chris Francoeur.
Ranked 40th nationally in the season's first GolfStat poll, Ross finished fourth at the 2019 Autotrader Collegiate Classic with a 54-hole total of 209 (-7). Sitting at even-par entering the final day, the junior fired a collegiate-low / bogey-free 65 to climb 15 spots up the individual leaderboard for his third straight Top-5 showing.
Ross, who made National headlines this past summer with a record 15-under 57 at the Dogwood Invitational, just missed tying the tournament record of 8-under 64.
Through nine tournament rounds this fall, the 2018 Conference Rookie of the Year has a 70.67 stroke average.
